Jophlo & DJ King James NYC follow the Hip Hop imprints of MC-DJ combinations such as CL Smooth & Pete Rock , Guru & DJ Premier and The Fresh Prince & DJ Jazzy Jeff. The content of their music cover a wide range of topics from today’s social issues to the advocacy of Real Hip Hop Music. The two met over a decade ago at a Record Store that Jophlo owned, where DJ King James NYC (a mix tape DJ at the time) was collecting wax, which he still does till this day. DJ King James NYC serves as the DJ & track producer within the group, which is in addition to his live appearances as a live DJ within the NYC club circuit. Jophlo lives up to his name through his ferocious (yet smooth) style of delivery on every track featured on their new project “Phlolosophy”. The duo is preparing to film a video for their next upcoming single “Metropolis” via SLAM World Music, which will debut in January 2019. Stay Posted.
