Chuck D doesn’t disappoint within his latest solo effort that brings purpose, much needed Hip Hop laced with soulful powerful intellect.
“Celebration” is brilliant project that’s entertaining, bold and relevant in today’s current state of music. “Tired of 45” calls out the ignorant audacity of “45” in comparison to the positive and meaning
ful work of “23” over a rough and rugged guitar driven Hip Hop Track. “BOT” addresses how basic human/social interaction is commonly disrupted by society’s addiction to handheld devices. “Ain’t No” is a highly energetic theme for all who are at their edge that face malicious haterism, from both a personal and everyday social standpoint. “Blacknificent” is an upbeat, uplifting song of truth and optimism in which Chuck takes a strong lead and is backed by a powerful feature from Jahi. Other highlights include “Speak on It”, “MutterERT” , “Freedblack” and “Cavemanic”.
